2nd training & networking event, partnership meeting, 4-5 December 2023, Warsaw (Poland)

The 2nd training & networking event and 2nd transnational partnership meeting of the project
"Let's create an SDGs heritage - SDGCultheritage", it was held in Warsaw, on Monday 4 and
Tuesday 5 of December 2023, with participants from all Partner organizations.
Within the overall project’s scope of how the Sustainable Development Goals affect the
activities of organizations within the cultural and creative industries in view of the alignment of
strategies and operations to the SDGs, the two days of training have been focused on the
following:
- sharing perspectives on sustainability and culture, in particular highlighting those
sustainable practices they are already implementing in their everyday life (be it in their
personal or professional dimensions);
- reasoning why cultural & creative organizations are especially appropriate to embrace
sustainable development principles and practices... (press release)

The project’s activities and outputs will guide the Partner organizations on how they can
align their strategies and operations, communicate the results achieved and the SDGs in
general as well as measure and manage their contribution to the SDGs, through five
different stages, depending on where they are on their journey towards sustainability:
- understanding the SDGs as the first step in with the SDGs and the opportunities;
- discovering and defining the priorities to benefit the most through SDGs alignment;
- setting goals in order to favour shared priorities, through the alignment of core goals;
- integrating sustainable development into core operations and governance.

Kick-off meeting and 1st training & networking event, 8-9 July 2023, Ascoli Piceno (Italy)

In line with the original methodology proposed by the project, which explores the resonance
between the contents and methods of sustainable development and culture, art as
generative fields that animate individuals, communities, institutions and society as a whole, the
first training session was itinerant, a walk in three stages through the ancient and characteristic
narrow streets of Ascoli Piceno to discover, through the declamation of verse taken from the
Divine Comedy’s Inferno, a perspective of the Supreme Poet on the environment. The three
stages were used to discover and explore the SDGs sub-groups, in association to Dante’s
declaimed verse: stage 1, the SDGs connected to the PERSON (SDGs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) and the
PLANET (SDGs 6, 12, 13, 14, 15); stage 2, the SDGs connected to PROSERITY (SDGs 7, 8, 9, 10, 11);
stage 3 the SDgs related to PEACE (SDGs 16) and PARTNERSHIPS (SDGs 17).
The second training session has been conceived as an exposition of photos artworks by the
local photographer Mr Paolo Luzi on the theme of Planet Earth, Environment and Woman,
followed by an interactive question & answer session and debate. (press release)
